As we started planning the remodel, we had a clear vision in mind: a bathroom that would be both beautiful and functional. The original layout was spacious but had some outdated elements that no longer aligned with modern preferences. We wanted to create a warm, inviting space that prioritizes comfort and ease of use.
Out with the Old: Replacing the Spa Tub
One of the first decisions we made was to remove the large spa tub. Once a luxurious feature, it was no longer a popular choice for our guests, who now prioritize accessibility and ease of use. Replacing the spa tub with a spacious walk-in shower will open up the bathroom significantly, creating a safer, more accessible option for guests of all ages.
Elevating the Look: Upgrading to a Unique Vanity
We want our bathroom to have a unique touch that reflects the charm of our vacation rental. The original single vanity was practical, but we knew we can do more. We’ve chosen a stunning petrified wood basin, adding a warm and elegant element to the room. This unique piece brings a sense of natural beauty, making the bathroom feel more like a retreat and creating a memorable touch for our guests.
Enhanced Privacy: Creating an En Suite Bathroom
Another significant addition was a door connecting the bathroom directly to the bedroom, turning it into an en suite.
